Classes: Thursdays at 11am
This course is designed for budding writers in 7th grade or older. It will have three main parts.
First, we will cover storytelling fundamentals such as how to create rich characters and setting and the importance of tension, keeping your audience engaged and turning the page.
Secondly, we will begin writing more consistently and practice different literary devices which will help students develop their unique voice; these skills will also make their stories more entertaining for their future readers.
Finally, we will talk about the qualities of truly great works and how to begin weaving tone, dialogue, and themes into our story for a high-quality, future masterpiece.
